I have seen far too many people in your picture above. I weight room is one place the ego does not belong. It is good the have a spotter and lifter have a sound base of knowledge. I have always found it funny that so many people think they know it all when it comes to weight training, those are the same people you see get hurt too.

Sammie,

Your partner-up program is such a fantastic idea! I hope that some people take advantage of this program, since it will save them possible injury and improve their gains in the long run.

I wish their was something like this when I first started lifting (way-back-when). I worked out for 5 years incorrectly before learning correct technique. Thankfully, I never injured myself.

Sammie,

I agree with your sentiment regarding the "spotter" and the poor form. Having trained for years with free weights I would agree that there are too many times when more harm than good comes from have the help with a lift.

But I have seen too many times where the lack of a spotter resulted in injury or "near injury".

I think that more people should sign up for your partner up program. Just a shame you are not offering it in the UK!
